How does the free case evaluation work?
You can describe what happened through the free case evaluation form, ask for a call back or call (949) 302-8040. Your request is reviewed and you receive a reply about the possible next steps. Sending a request does not create an attorney-client relationship, so please do not send confidential documents until you are asked to.
How do personal injury fees usually work in California?
Personal injury attorneys in California often work on a contingency fee basis, which means the fee is a percentage of the amount recovered. A contingency fee agreement must be in writing and must state, among other things, the fee rate and how costs are handled (Business and Professions Code section 6147). In medical negligence cases the law also limits the percentage an attorney may charge (section 6146). Ask for the written agreement and read it before you sign.
Who publishes this website?
This website is published by the Bridgewest international legal network. The information on it is general and is not legal advice for your situation: the law and deadlines can change, and every case depends on its own facts.
